Sul Guardian<\/a><\/strong><\/em>\u00a0Graham Redfearn indaga –\u00a0insieme al gruppo di DesmogBlog e al\u00a0Climate Investigations Center<\/a>\u00a0–\u00a0su come se la passano 12 lobbisti assoldati da Big Oil & Coal nel 1998 <\/a><\/strong>per negare l’effetto serra dei gas serra.<\/p>\n

In generale, molto bene. Per esempio, il solerte<\/a>\u00a0Steve Milloy, ora dirigente della Murray “Big Coal” Energy<\/a> e molto ammirato dal\u00a0ten.col. Guidi<\/a>, ha un segretario che risponde al posto suo:<\/p>\n

Emails to Milloy and Murray Energy went unanswered. The Guardian received a response to the email addressed to Mr Milloy from Lord Christopher Monckton, a prominent climate science sceptic, who said it was \u201cuntrue\u201d and \u201cstatistically meaningless\u201d to claim\u00a0the 15 hottest years on record had occurred from 1998 onwards<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

C’\u00e8 chi inquina l’informazione e c’\u00e8 chi cerca di bloccarla alla fonte. Il 5 febbraio scorso, il prof. Mario Saad <\/a>dell’universit\u00e0 di Campinas a S\u00e3o\u00a0Paulo, ha fatto causa<\/a> all’American Diabetes Association ADA), l’editore della rivista Diabetes<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

(1) requiring the ADA to remove the digital expression of concern that was published on the Diabetes website; <\/em>
\n(2) enjoining the ADA from publishing the hard-copy expression of concern in the March print issue of Diabetes; and <\/em>
\n(3) enjoining the ADA from retracting Dr. Saad\u2019s four articles from Diabetes. <\/em><\/p>\n

\nOra su PubPeer, i paper “dubbi” del gruppo di Saad \u00a0sono 17. L’universit\u00e0 ha nominato una seconda commissione d’indagine, questa volta di esperti esterni, che concluder\u00e0 i lavori entro met\u00e0 marzo. Nel frattempo ha vietato ai propri ricercatori di sottoporre articoli alla rivista<\/p>\n

1. Continue to write and speak as if we were still having a genuine intellectual dialogue, in the hope that politeness and persistence will make the pretense come true.<\/em><\/p>\n
