These activities differ from one another in many details, \u00a0but upon closer inspection reveal at least two common characteristics: <\/em><br \/>\n<em>1-they appear to\u00a0produce relevant amounts of knowledge only of explanatory kind &#8211; they provide, in other\u00a0words, high &#8220;understanding&#8221;, but only of individual events; <\/em><br \/>\n<em>2-their methodologies are at \u00a0odds with those of established sciences.
