L’attualit\u00e0 della furia umana faceva gi\u00e0 abbastanza paura, ci mancava solo il supplemento di Science<\/em> intitolato “Furia della natura<\/a><\/strong>” sui rischi di finimondo magari “impensabili<\/a>“.<\/p>\n

Preceduto da un editoriale <\/a>di Marcia McNutt, in realt\u00e0 non \u00e8 terrificante, le ricerche e i modelli riportano l’impensabile a probabilit\u00e0 che si possono stimare, limitano un po’ l’ignoto insomma.<\/p>\n

Su Science Insider<\/em> c’\u00e8 un articolo <\/a><\/strong>di Luca Barone sul proscioglimento di Ilaria Capua pi\u00f9 dettagliato della news di Nature<\/em>:<\/p>\n

[La giudice di Verona] Donati concluded in a\u00a0verdict<\/a>\u00a0issued on 5 July that, regardless of the statute of limitations, the evidence for most of the charges was simply \u201cunsubstantial\u201d and that there won’t be a trial. The accusation that Capua and others set off a human epidemic made no sense, she said, because one mild flu case does not constitute an epidemic; moreover, the avian virus she allegedly spread was a different strain than the one that killed the birds in Italy. The Carabinieri’s investigators \u201cbuilt up accusations that are totally unfounded,\u201d and in some cases \u201cdifficult to understand,\u201d Donati wrote; she even used the expression \u201cfabricating an accusation.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00a0The only accusation Donati did not dismiss was that Capua put illegal pressure on a company named Intervet\u2014now part of MSD Animal Health\u2014to buy tests that can differentiate vaccinated from unvaccinated poultry. (Capua holds part of the royalties for the test, called\u00a0DIVA<\/a>). But even if that charge had gone to court, the judge wrote, Capua and other defendants would have to stand trial for a lighter version of the original allegation because there’s no evidence that Intervet gave in to the alleged pressure. And she agreed with a prosecutor in Padua who wrote that another interpretation of the taped phone conversations could be that Intervet put pressure on Capua instead of the other way around…<\/p>\n

Questo si sapeva dal 6 luglio, anche se Abbate, Mazzaro et al. fanno finta di nulla, ma forse qualcuno dovrebbe avvisarli che oltre alla causa per diffamazione contro L’Espresso<\/em>, Ilaria potrebbe fare appello contro la prescrizione:<\/p>\n

Capua says she is still considering whether to appeal the part of the sentence concerning Intervet so as to get a full acquittal. Italian justice has been \u201cslow\u201d and \u201cincapable of understanding science,\u201d says Capua, who adds that she feels \u201csafe in the knowledge that my scientific career is crystal clear.\u201d<\/p>\n

Premesso che le bioceramiche<\/a> usate in medicina son cose serie, per la custode del Parco il primo problema \u00e8 che le bufale sul calore detto radiazione termica detta raggi Fir e sul “decluster dell’acqua” non hanno nulla di scientifico. Il secondo \u00e8 che le truffe basate sulle propriet\u00e0 immaginarie delle bioceramiche e il decluster <\/a><\/strong>sono tante, la poveretta non ce la farebbe mai a spiegarle una per una.\u00a0Se ve ne viene in mente una recente pi\u00f9 creativa della media, mi avvisate per favore?<\/span><\/p>\n
