Further, the new US president is attempting to set himself up as the sole source of truth while stating he is at war with the free press, which is portrayed as \u201cthe opposition.\u201d Other politicians are joining this authoritarian anthem, with\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.vox.com\/science-and-health\/2017\/1\/27\/14395978\/donald-trump-lamar-smith\">Lamar Alexander (R-Texas), the Chair of the House Science Committee, saying there is now a new source for truth<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>Better to get your news directly from the president.
