*

Nello stesso thread, Maurizio “omnologos” Morabito nega di

a) negare l’effetto serra dei gas serra, mentre sostiene che il riscaldamento globale si sia fermato 16 anni fa (i dati, invece…) e che il riscaldamento di origine antropica – quello causato dalle nostre emissioni di gas serra – è un complotto di scienziati inetti, disonesti e pagati dagli ambientalisti (le sue bestie nere);
b) diffamare Michael Mann, mentre lo accusa di aver falsificato i dati della mazza da hockey come si vede dalla sua prefazione alla montagna di bufale da lui tradotta;
c) essere un ammiratore di Berlusconi, mentre lo elogia nei bollettini di partito da propagandista ufficiale di Forza Gn-UK

Shameless.

  3. You may want to consider this. It may need editing, but is quite important.

    “Dr. Pier Giorgio Natali was the director of the Regina Elena Cancer Institute, Division of Immunology in Rome until his retirement on 31st December in 2008.”
    There is some debate about the authenticity of several papers authored by Dr. Pier Giorgio Natali. There do seem to be irregularities on the page.
    This entry gives an idea of the debate. An entry was made. Another person thought the comments were unfair. A third person pointed out that there are irregularities in several other papers.

    Something is not quite right. My guess is that it is the entire system. The scientific system is only a subset of the national system.
    Why should if be different? Other national systems also have their problems. Some very well hidden. For example, England has since 1066 to practise.
    This is an interesting read:

  4. The vice-rector for research for the University of Naples, Roberto Di Lauro, is conflicted and confused. He is leading the internal inquiry into 60 publications by A Fusco, yet has published 9 scientific papers with A Fusco.
    http://www.nature.com/news/image-search-triggers-italian-police-probe-1.14295
    “A source close to the police investigation confirms that around 60 papers by Fusco are being studied, including a 2007 paper in the Journal of Clinical Investigation that was retracted by the editors in November.
    When details of the inquiry were leaked to an Italian newspaper in October, the rector of Fusco’s university set up a three-man internal committee headed by Roberto Di Lauro, vice-rector for research at the University of Naples, that is expected to report by the end of the year. Di Lauro has co-authored nine papers with Fusco,”.
    In a comment to the Nature article, a Roberto Di Lauro, writes”
    “As vice-rector for research I felt that I had to comply with my rector request, even though I have co-authored 9 papers with Fusco. Of these, 7 were published before 1985”.
    Another commentator, Beatrice Mueller, has pointed out a flaw in his argument.
    Beatrice Mueller •
    In reply to Roberto Di Lauro, Rector of Naples University,
    You wrote “even though I have co-authored 9 papers with Fusco. Of these, 7 were published before 1985”. Does that apply to degrees issued by the University of Naples? Do the degrees before 1985 become invalid?
    I think that one of your publications with A Fusco from 1985 is highly relevant.

    Please follow the simple instructions below.

    Why did Roberto Di Lauro feel a need with a request when he is conflicted? Why not simply and clearly point out the conflict of interest? The rector of Naples university would at least know about the conflict of interest.

    The Editorial Board of Cell Death and Disease is retracting the above article (PMID 22932725).
    A reader contacted the Editors about apparent duplications in Figures 1b and 2c, and possible splicing of an image in Figure 3c. Concerns were subsequently raised about the similarity of the tubulin loading controls in Figure 1b to those that appeared in Figure 1c of Cell Death and Differentiation 2006; 13: 1554–63 (PMID 16341121), a paper that was retracted by the authors on 6 December 2013.
    Because the Authors were unable to provide the original source files that were used to generate the figures in question, the Editorial Board is retracting this publication.

    Citation for this retraction: J. Clin. Invest. 2014;124(6):2807. doi:10.1172/JCI76855.
    It has come to our attention that multiple gel images in Figure 1A were inappropriately duplicated from a previous publication (Airoldi I. et al. Expression and function of IL-12 and IL-18 receptors on human tonsillar B cells. J Immunol. 2000;165(12):6880–6888) in violation of JCI editorial policy. The experimental results presented in Figure 1A were intentionally mislabeled as representing total tonsil B lymphocytes and naive, GC, and memory B cells from the same tonsil, in contrast with the sample labeling in the previous publication. The JCI editorial board is retracting this article due to the evident misrepresentation of data and image duplication. No issues have been raised in regard to any of the other data in this manuscript.
