su alcune fonti di ispirazione per i due fondatori e cultori di nanodiagnostica, nanotossicologia e nanopatologia.

Gli insulti del dott. Stefano “lei non chi sa sono io” Montanari hanno spinto Orac a rigirare il coltello nella piaga con l’aiuto degli habitués. Alcuni burloni ne approfittano per fare a polpette altre ricerche della premiata coppia Gatti & Montanari dell’Università di Modena-Reggio Emilia e co-autori, in particolare su Morgellons (sic), ossa, fegati e reni di feti abortiti per cessata “attività respiratoria”.

Una consacrazione mon-dia-le.

Grazie alla popolarità di Orac, adesso anche il resto del mondo sa che i due anti-vax hanno una visione alternativa di biologia, chimica, tossicologia, medicina ecc.

All’estero hanno dubbi sulle credenziali di Antonietta Gatti in Montanari. Vanta – vantava? – un’affiliazione con il CNR di Faenza, anche se non in un istituto di nanopsicopatologia dei morgelloni, ma ho trovato solo questo.

Noi s’attende trepidanti la prossima puntata del dott. Montanari. Riuscirà il nostro eroe a scoprire a chi ha dato dell’ignorante, idiota, incompetente ecc. a uno che non ha mai pubblicato su riviste scientifiche?

Su The Cryosphere, Benjamin Smith et al. usano i dati di CryoSat-2 per descrivere come si sono riversati in mare un insieme di

subglacial lakes that drained between June 2013 and January 2014 under the central part of Thwaites Glacier, West Antarctica (TWG). Much of the drainage happened in less than 6 months, with an apparent connection between three lakes spanning more than 130 km.

Dicono che il “drenaggio” ha accelerato di poco, circa del 10%, il moto del Thwaites – se non ricordo male, dovrebbe essere il più veloce dell’Antartide – ma non parlano degli effetti del drenaggio sulla sua stabilità.

  2. Per quanto riguarda l’affiliazione di Gatti al CNR segnalo questo:

    Un loro paper del 2016, pubblicato, se non ho sbagliato a controllare, con Elsevier, in cui associano le nanoparticelle alla leucemia.
    (l’unico commento è molto critico)
    Primo autore è Giuseppe Visani del centro trapianti midollo osseo AORMN Pesaro.
    In quel paper Gatti è riferita come affiliata a “National Council of Research of Italy, Institute for the Science and Technology of Ceramic Materials, Faenza, Italy”. Nel sito dell’ISTEC, nella pagina “staff”, non è citata: http://www.istec.cnr.it/index.php/eng/staff
    Trovo solo che, nel “Research Network, è indicata UniModena, senza specifiche: http://www.istec.cnr.it/index.php/eng/research-network/domestic insieme però a molti altri istituti.
    Montanari invece è indicato come “Department of Biomolecular Sciences, University of Urbino Carlo Bo, Urbino, Italy”. Anche per lui, nessuna traccia nel sito del dipartimento dell’università di Urbino, non è citato. E l’unico (anzi -a) S Montanari nell’intera università è Sara Montanari che insegna spagnolo.
    Io non sono un ricercatore ma pensavo che, indicando l’affiliazione, si mettesse dove si è assunti.
    Sembra invece che abbiano indicato istituzioni dove hanno collaborato. Lo trovo curioso e un po’ confondente.

      nel database del MIUR (CINECA) non risultano di nessuna università; c’è un’Antonietta Maria Gatti in amministrazione allo SPIN-CNR (nuovi materiali) di Pesaro.
      Per le riviste, l’affiliazione è il posto dove si è fatta la ricerca che viene pubblicata anche se quando esce uno sta altrove. Molti ricercatori sono di passaggio, da post-doc o con una borsa. E’ diverso per strumenti collettivi tipo l’acceleratore del CERN, l’affiliazione è l’istituzione che paga gli autori o se è studente la sua università – esempio – deve cliccare sul numero in apice dopo il nome e l’affiliazione esce in alto a destra.

  3. Finalmente qualcuno sbufala il nano-duo. Non se ne poteva più. Le merendine sono nocive? È colpa delle nanoparticelle. I soldati italiani morti dopo aver maneggiato uranio impoverito? Colpa delle nanoparticelle. Gli inceneritori? Emettono nanoparticelle. La ferriera di Trieste? Nanoparticelle. Mancavano i vaccini.
    Poi cerchi una fonte su queste nanoparticelle con la condizione “- gatti montanari” ed è il deserto…

    2. The whole “glasshouse” project with ISTEC and IRC, to investigate nanoparticles in a closed biosphere.

      her firm was associated, which sounds right: it had the famous microscope. Who knows what being “adopted” by CNR-Faenza means, since she’s not on their payroll – but her 2012 interview can’t be taken seriously, it’s on a “social promotion” site and it shows.
      I wonder if Elsevier’s editors ever check the authors’ affiliation. They really should, I’ve just received legal threats because I report Finelli’s affiliation as stated in the journals thereby “implying” he still is their “employee” and damaging their reputation (to be fair, they are sueing him too.)

        I dottori Roberto Cutajar e Mario Marra, in qualità rispettivamente di dg della Fondazione Stella Maris di Pisa e di presidente della Fondazione Stella Maris Mediterraneo, smentiscono che mai c’è stato alcun rapporto di lavoro e tantomeno di collaborazione scientifica tra la Fondazione Stella Maris Mediterraneo e il dr. Carmine Finelli.
        Apparently Finelli faked his affiliation in the media and the journals for about 10 years and nobody noticed until I quoted it.

  5. In the recent MedCrave paper, Gatti’s affiliations are “National Council of Research of Italy, Institute for the Science
    and Technology of Ceramics, Italy” and “International Clean Water Institute, USA”, while her corresponding address is “National
    Council of Research of Italy, c/o Nanodiagnostics”, so she is explicitly claiming to be a CNR employee.
    When she writes Editorials for another MedCrave journal, sometimes she claims a similar CNR affiliation (“National Council of Research of Italy, Institute of Science of Ceramic Materials Technology, Nanodiagnostics Srl”), while at other times her whole company becomes a division of CNR (“Department of Nanodiagnostics, National Council of Research of Italy”) — if that fraudulent affiliation appeared only once, it could be the fault of the publisher, but she has used it repeatedly.
    I am not sure what the “International Clean Water Institute, USA” is, but it does not look exactly credible.

  6. la dr.ssa Gatti e il dr Montanari hanno avuto un Contratto Integrativo annuale di Assistenza dall’Universita’ di Urbino, per consentire loro l’accesso all’ARPAM di Pesaro dove e’ collocato il microscopio elettronico acquistato con la colletta lanciata da Grillo, rimasto alla Nanodiagnostics, se non sbaglio fino ad inizio 2011, poi donato dalla Onlus proprietaria effettiva del microscopio all’Univ. di Urbino che a sua volta lo ha dato in comodato d’uso all’ARPAM di Pesaro. Il contratto (poche centinaia di Euro l’anno), era rinnovabile ma non so fino a quando. Su tale base il dr Montanari ha potuto utilizzare l’affiliazione anche se chi legge pensa sia uno strutturato presso l’Univ. di Urbino. La dr.ssa Gatti dichiara di essere associate professor al CNR ISTEC di Faenza; l’associate professor in pratica e’ una forma di ospitalita’ che il CNR offre a personale universitario (non so se solo universitario o anche da altri enti) in pensione; vale per lei lo stesso discorso fatto per il marito. La Maria Antonietta Gatti (antonietta.gatti@spin.cnr.it) non e’ la dott.ssa Gatti di cui parliamo che si chiama Antonietta Morena Gatti. Per il lavoro sui vaccini si potrebbe ridere o piangere considerando che i sostenitori dei coniugi lo spacciano per Vangelo; per fortuna sono pochi, l’appello a firmare una richiesta di ritiro dei vaccini incriminati ha raccolto al 3 febbraio solo 364 adesioni.

    Ashok Vaseashta is the Director of Research at International Clean Water Institute and an editor for predatory publisher Omics (of which MedCrave is a clone). Ashok has published several papers in which Gatti-Montanari’s studies are referenced; in particular he cited the studies about the “Burning Semen Disease” (hilarity ensues if you google it), a pathology apparently connected with Gulf/Balkan War soldiers, uranium, and nano-stuff. No evidence has been provided so far, yet it’s a thing according to Gatti-Vaseashta.
    Gatti-Monatari have a partnership with NUARI-IASC-ICWI (Vaseashta) throughout Nanodiagnostics srl. Both Gatti and Vaseashta are terrorist “experts”, and both have been lecturers at the same proceeding conferences sponsored by NATO:

    Ah, I see. There is the I.C.W.I and also the “Advanced Sciences Convergence Institute”, both with Ashok Vaseashta as a Director (and for all appearances the only member). Both come under the umbrella of NUARI:
    “Norwich University Applied Research Institutes (NUARI) was federally chartered under legislation sponsored by Sen. Patrick Leahy in 2002 and is funded in part through the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense.”
    — that is to say, they were scams set up in a hurry to grab some of the mad money that was sloshing around in the aftermath of 9/11. Now Vaseashta is a ‘tenured grifter’ who will continue to receive lucrative contracts as long as he continues to string buzzwords together into Deepak Chopra-style meaningless profundities.
    I looked at some of the titles of his papers and they seem to be computer-generated. “The Ecosystem of innovations in nanotechnologies in support of counterterrorism”. That’s not even trying to make sense.

    hahahah, well after all, in the book “Nanopathology: The Health Impact of Nanoparticles” Gatti-Montanari studied lambs (quoting verbatim)“whose mothers had been grazing close to an interforce military firing ground in Sardinia”. A clear evidence that the Italian government and military eggheads were tinkering with nature, you know, some weird stuff involving lambs, and… staring people 😀

    Exactly, they managed to put together some vaporware technology that detects contaminants and nano-things alike in waters, get funded by some post-9/11 public funding, concoct some mumble-jambo in the form of scientific papers, publish them as proceedings sponsored by NATO, and finally bragging that the researchers are, somehow, under the aegis of NATO as terrorism experts.

    The content too seems a computer-generated non-sense; except the parts that were well-crafted to induce fear, uncertainty and doubt. Clearly, Gatti-Montanari are stoking unfounded fears about what’s in food, vaccines, and our body to garner publicity. Unfortunately, I don’t have access to PubPeer, but all their papers should be submitted for anonymous scrutiny and review.

  16. I cannot find evidence that Vaseashta ever lent his name to be the (nominal) *editor* of an OMICS spigot. He just turns up regularly at every OMICS nanotech scamference… and at a variety of those sketchy little conferences that pop up around Eastern Europe under NATO auspices (mainly to integrate the scientific establishments of Albania and Armenia and the rest more closely into Western Europe networks, with no immediate expectations of intellectual benefit).
    Turns out that he has signed up as a scamference organiser for “Scientific Federation”, who are several steps even below OMICS on the scale of “Spamming Scumbag Hyderabad-based Scoundrels”.

      secondo lei le persone oneste si comprano articoli pieni di falsità su riviste truffaldine, si fanno pagare analisi false, e scrrivono di appartenere a un dipartimento del CNR che non esiste?
